Beauty: First Impressions #2

Another first impressions post for you. I find that my opinion of products changes over time and it's nice to look back and see how I first felt.
I've been trying this Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lip product. It's a sort of creme lip with a wand application. I thought it would be really matte on my lips and feel dry, but it's actually quite moisturising and leave a matte like finish rather than an actual matte finish.
I wore this out one weekend and didn't feel the need to top it up all the time like I usually do with other creme or lipgloss applications. It's as long lasting as a lipstick and just as highly pigmented too.

I'd like to try other darker colours to see how they compare, but the weather isn't really appropriate right now for darker lipsticks. Maybe in a  few months when the weather cools down.

So far I'm really liking this! stay tuned for a full review on it. I don't think I'll change my mind about it, but I could be wrong.

Have you tried these lip products before?

  1. I have the Rouge Edition Velvet in the shade Frambourjois and whilst I really enjoy the formula I think I'd prefer the product in a lighter shade, especially now that the warmer weather is upon us! Raspberrykiss xo

  2. I'm a massive fan of the Rouge Edition Lipsticks so if the velvets are anything similar I imagine I'd love those too! Lovely shade!

  4. I love the Rouge Edition Velvets - I have 3 and I think that's the highest number of different shades I have in one product. I think they're really good for the price, but I do definitely get the most wear out of my nude shade!

  6. These are really lovely and I enjoy using them, but they're definitely not the longest wearing of the liquid lipsticks out there!
