As you know from this post and this post that I have a thing for planners. Call me a planner addict if you will, in fact I love planners so much that I even opened up my own stationery store on etsy.
I currently use my Erin Condren Life Planner for daily life, and my Ban.do for blog scheduling. With my store becoming more and more busy I thought I should invest in a planner for that too so I got the Kikki K Perforated Personal Planner in Ice Blue.
Being a Filofax girl since I was 7 years old, I didn't know if I could betray the brand and go for something different, and for a long time I put off getting a Kikki K. But the styles of the Kikki K drew me in more and more, until this gorgeous Ice Blue was in my hands.
Kikki K's used to be difficult to come by as international shipping was expensive - however the company recently opened up a store in London, making it easier for us planner addicts in the UK to access one.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the Kikki K was that the ring binder itself is bigger than the Filofax systems, meaning you can have more pages in your planner. It's also a gorgeous gold colour as opposed to Filofax's silver. I didn't use the inserts that can with the planner as I've been so used to having Filofax inserts. I couldn't abandon Filofax too much so I've kept their inserts in the Kikki K.
The thing that I do like about ring binders as opposed to my Erin Condren and Ban.do planners is that it's very customisable. As I use this planner for my shop I can completely customise the inside to include stats, diary, to do lists, incoming and outgoings, keep track of finances etc. This is something that I wouldn't be able to do as easily in the other planners.
I also like making my own dashboards and dividers as I think these add a good deal of personality to the planner. No two planners will look the same!
In the front of the planner I keep things like paper clips and sticky notes for when I'm on the go. The pockets are huge at the front so I feel like I can keep a lot in there. It's handy for things that I'd reach for a lot and keeps everything together.
This is the personal size planner, which Kikki K call their medium size. I do want to get my hands on a Kikki K large planner, which is A5 size. I've seen people uncoiling their Erin Condrens and placing them inside but I don't think I could bring myself to destroy my Erin Condren.
Do you have any planners? How do you like to keep organised?
