I can't believe I'm writing this post up. It doesn't seem like that long ago when I was writing up my favourite beauty products of 2014! I feel like this past year was the year where I found my 'products'. The products that I would continually use or always go back to.
First up is the Smashbox Full Exposure palette. When this originally came out I told myself I didn't want it as I wouldn't use the shimmer shades at all, but when I saw it in Boots it made me change my mind and now here we are with it being one of my favourite and most used product of the year.
Another one that I was a little bit skeptical about was the Real Techniques Flat Contour brush because the price was so high. When I wrote my review on it (here) I had mixed feelings but the more I used it the more I fell in love. It makes applying contour so much easier and is just a very well made brush.
One product that I fell in love with instantly is the YSL Black Opium which I wrote a review on here. It's a beautiful 'grown-up' floral scent which is sweet, yet dark.
My most used foundation this year and one that I've repurchased again and again is the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude. It just melts into your skin and blends like a dream giving medium coverage. I think the colour match is pretty good too for a high street brand. I usually find that it's hard for me to match my skin tone to a high street brand but I seem to have done it with this.
I couldn't have gotten through 2015 without Boiing by Benefit. It's been an absolute lifesaver. My skin has been so bad this past year and Boiing has covered everything from blemishes and scars to under eye bags and redness. It's a wonder product.
My favourite mascara of the year has been Bourjois Liner Effect. Its a great mascara for those days when you don't want to put too much effort into your make up or don't have enough time to do eyeliner. It makes your lashes super black at the roots giving the illusion that you're wearing eyeliner too. It's a great product for those who are always in a rush or on the go.
Despite only buying his in June, my favourite lipstick of the year is MAC Velvet Teddy. I've worn it most days since I bought it which is crazy as I usually mixed things up a bit.
And finally I've been loving Benefit Watt's Up as it makes highlighting so easy. I wrote about it here.
What products have you been loving this past year?
P.S. Happy New Year!
