Lifestyle: DIY Christmas Wrapping Paper

DIY Christmas Wrapping Paper

This year I thought I would make my own wrapping paper for a few of the gifts. We're on a tighter budget this year and wrapping paper can get quite expensive especially as it's just going to end up in the bin anyway.
For this I used some brown parcel wrap that you wrap your post up in. I always have rolls of this lying around as I use it for posting out things from my shop and items to pen pals. I also used a white gel pen.
I started off by writing words onto the brown paper using the white pen. The contrast between the brown and white looks quite nice I think. I used words like Noel, Merry Christmas, Seasons Greetings etc. I alternated the font styles and sizes too.
On other parcels I simply drew lines or dots. Once the parcels were wrapped up I added ribbon and bows as this is what I had lying around the house. I would have added bells and things but that would mean going out to buy them and this is meant to be a budget friendly post. It's great what you can do with things you find around the house.

Do you make your own wrapping paper or use store bought ones?

  1. Love this! It's more personal too I think :)

  2. Love this idea. You can really get as creative as you like. I think they all look fab.

  3. I tried to make my own wrapping paper once by stamping onto brown parcel paper but it failed epically. These however looks so good, i would happily buy these to wrap mine in!
