Lifestyle: DIY Christmas Wrapping Paper

DIY Christmas Wrapping Paper

This year I thought I would make my own wrapping paper for a few of the gifts. We're on a tighter budget this year and wrapping paper can get quite expensive especially as it's just going to end up in the bin anyway.
For this I used some brown parcel wrap that you wrap your post up in. I always have rolls of this lying around as I use it for posting out things from my shop and items to pen pals. I also used a white gel pen.
I started off by writing words onto the brown paper using the white pen. The contrast between the brown and white looks quite nice I think. I used words like Noel, Merry Christmas, Seasons Greetings etc. I alternated the font styles and sizes too.
On other parcels I simply drew lines or dots. Once the parcels were wrapped up I added ribbon and bows as this is what I had lying around the house. I would have added bells and things but that would mean going out to buy them and this is meant to be a budget friendly post. It's great what you can do with things you find around the house.

Do you make your own wrapping paper or use store bought ones?
