Food: Easy Chocolate Brownies

First off I'd just like to apologise for the lighting in these pictures. I baked these brownies in the evening and took the photos at night as I was too impatient to wait until the morning before devouring one.

Quick and easy brownie recipe!

400g caster sugar
225g butter, melted
225g plain flour
4 eggs
60g cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
200g chocolate chips (optional)

Mix all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl until smooth. I added in some chocolate chips too but you can add in walnuts or anything else you might fancy.

Grab yourself a large rectangular tin and grease that baby up. I just used butter for this.

Pour in the mixture and smooth over the top with a wooden spoon

Bake at 200 degrees C or Gas Mark 4 for around 20 minutes or so. I checked to see if the mixture was ready after 20 minutes and the middle was still wobbly so I left it in for another 5 minutes. 

Allow it to cool before slicing up and serving

  1. These look delicious. Ive never made brownies before but i was planning on making some in the next week or so for my blog. Hopefully they turn out as good as these!
