Beauty: Summer Lip Balms

A look at the lip balms to get you through summer:

I never usually think about my lips in summer, or at least I don't think that they need protection or anything. I recently went to Spain and the heat dried up my lips and made them blister slightly, which is something that's never happened before.
To get me through I used Nivea Sun Protection as it contains SPF. It's great as it acts just the same as a sun cream with the added bonus of sinking in really quickly and leaving your lips feeling soft.
An all year round favourite is the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour lip cream. It comes in a tub which does mean getting your finger messy, but that said tub lasts ages and ages. This lip cream is the most moisturising and acts as a great multitasker just like the original 8 hour cream.
The Malin + Goetz lip moisturiser is a little hard to squeeze out at first, and is quite silicon-y in feel (or to like Benefit's POREfessional) it does however fell all those little gaps in your lips for a smooth base, making it perfect to add those lip colours on top.
And finally the Dr PawPaw Original Balm* is very similar to the Malin + Goetz only it's creamier and lasts longer on the lips. It also works well in water!

What are your must have lip products for summer?

  1. The Nivea and Dr PawPaw seem like ones I may have to invest in! It's not even summery summery yet, and my lips are drying out so easily :(

    A Little Twist Of…

  2. I like the Malin + Goetz one, I usually wear it overnight in bed because I don't like that thick feeling on my lips during the day! Definitely need to try the Elizabeth Arden one x
