Lent marks the count down to Easter and starts on Ash Wednesday (the day after Pancake Tuesday). Last year I gave up meat, and continued to be a vegetarian for a year until I was hungover and needed chicken nuggets. Once I ate meat again I felt so much better and have had loads of energy since, so maybe it was a good thing. I'm still trying to eat as healthy as I did then which is why for this Lent I'm giving up junk food and snacking.
Snacking is my worse habit. I don't eat because I'm hungry, I eat because I have nothing else to do or that it's just there in front of me and easily accessible. I've tried giving up chocolate in the past and it's always failed me, but after being able to go veggie for a whole year I'm having higher hopes this time round.
Hopefully I'll be able to make it the full 40 days!
Are you giving up anything for Lent?
