Beauty: Handbag Essentials

A look at my updated handbag essentials:

I change my bag a lot these days as I use a different bag for university to the one that I use for work. although other aspects of my bag change, the beauty bits don't seem to as much and so I thought I'd do an updated post. The last post I did on my handbag essentials was over a year ago so I think it's time for an update.

Hand cream is a must, and lately I've had Nivea Smooth Nourishing hand cream in my bag. It's a thick cream which soaks in quickly and lasts for hours before topping up. Its been quite essential during winter as my hands get dry quickly especially after washing my hands with harsh soaps in university. Another hand related product is Carex Strawberry Laces hand gel. It really does smell like strawberry laces and doesn't leave that horrible alcohol smell afterwards (its also great if you have kids). An essential item for my combo skin is the Kleenex Shine Absorbing sheets. These are discontinued I believe, but you can pick them up from Home Bargains for a few pence. They are absolute life savers for eliminating shine throughout the day.
I usually have a small sample fragrance with me and the one I've been using lately is Prada Candy. It's such a girly/summer shade and gets me excited for the summer months. Another sample I usually have with me is a mascara sample. This is the Clinique High Impact Mascara which I reviewed briefly here. Lastly I have my trusty Korres Pomegranate lip balm which I picked up in Tesco recently. It leaves a nice sheer tint of red to your lips - great for under or over lipstick!

What are your handbag must haves? Have you used any of these?

  1. These are great essentials. Especially the hand cream. This winter has been super tough on my skin!
