LIFESTYLE: All Star Lanes, Manchester

All Star Lanes, Manchester:

When I go to Manchester its usually with friends for a catch up, or with my family for a nice day out. Manchester is such a wonderful city with so many things to do. I want to move closer to there so badly but Mike wants to move closer to Liverpool. When will he realize that Manchester is nicer than Liverpool?

My favourite place in Manchester is All Star Lanes. Its bowling and dining in the heart of Deansgate with excellent drinks and food available.
I recently took a trip there with Mike and William for some bowling fun (although I lost terribly... even with the walls up) and had so much fun that we're going back there again at the end of February. Bowling is a great place for children parties, family days out or as a meeting place for a catch up with friends. All Star Lanes offer packages if you bowl and dine, and do the most amazing cocktails if you're having a long night there.

The kind people over at Joes Bloggers sent my family there for bowling and dining. We were given a private room to ourselves (very handy if you don't want strangers laughing at your bowling techniques) which included a game and some very stylish bowling shoes.
William absolutely loved it. He was giggling and jumping around and actually came very close to winning. I'm absolutely terrible at bowling. For some reason I thought I was good, but getting beat by a four year old shows how rubbish I am.

After our bowling game we were seated for food in their restaurant. I opted for swordfish as a main, while Mike went for steak. The children's menu is really well thought out and William opted for hotdog with a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich to finish.
I've never ate at All Star before and was pleasantly surprised at the food. The food was excellent and not something that we were expecting from a bowling alley.

All the staff were extremely friendly and made us feel completely welcome. I would highly recommend checking out All Star Lanes if you're ever near one, and like I said we're heading back there at the end of the month.
