Christmas jumpers with Matalan:
here // male jumper*: here
December marks the start of Christmas in our house. Advent calenders are started, Christmas shopping is done and wrapped up, the tree and all the decorations are up and twinkling away and William sees Santa.
December is a time for family, and as Mike and me don't get a lot of time together (thanks working weekend in retail) we cherish every moment we get. Usually December is a time when we're both a bit more free and we can enjoy hot chocolates together. The only thing I wish we had was a fireplace so that we could snuggle up in front of it and watch Christmas films.
Despite no fireplace, we still keep warm with our Christmas jumpers and huge mugs of hot chocolate. Both of our jumpers are from Matalan (links above) who have a fantastic range in at the moment.
I'm not much of a colour person so I'm wearing a black jumper with white snowflakes over it. The huge Robin in the middle adds great colour to my otherwise monochrome look, and adds a bit of festive cheer.
Mike's wearing the Ski Fairisle jumper which features a banner across the chest with a delightful ski-er and trees (I'd love to go skiing one day!).
We've both agreed that we're wearing these jumpers to Christmas Jumper Day in work as they're super cosy and really warm. Mike actually wore his on a night out and said he was kept 'toasty'.
I'm usually a Scrooge in the run up to Christmas but this year I seemed to have softened up a bit. I'm not sure if it's because I have more money this year, or whether it's because I've really really organised. Either way I'm really looking forward to Christmas so I can have a chance to catch up with my family and bask in the holiday cheer.
What do you love most about this season?
