These are the non-beauty items that I've been really enjoying this month:
This glass sundae dish is great for holding small items such as rings or earrings. This one currently hold my rings in which is super handy as I can easily grab some jewellery for the day without having to rummage through drawers or handbags. I picked this up from an online store but they don't sell them anymore. I'm sure you can find something similar in IKEA, Wilkinson or other home wear stores though.
My trusty Nintendo DS is still going after all these years. I've had this one since it came out in 2008(?) and I've loved playing Lego Harry Potter on it. Sitting in bed with a cup of tea and this game is a great way to relax at the end of the day. I've almost finished this game and I have no idea what to get next as Nintendo don't release DS games anymore (only the 3DS ones). I'll have to have a wonder through the preowned section of Game, or browse eBay for something good. (If you know nay good games, let me know!)
I really like journals and keeping a diary of things, so when I purchased this book I knew that I would get use out of it. It's a Q & A 5 Year Journal which has a different question every day, for five years. I'm not my second year of this now, and reading back through some of my answers is really cringe worthy!
I'm really bad when it comes to drinking as usually I'll have a million coffees or teas throughout the day, and only one glass of water at tea time. My sister bought this To Go glass jar* for me from Urban Outfitters to help me drink more water, and I do think that it has helped. I keep it next to me at my desk when I'm working on my blog, shop or university work and the straw just makes drinking easier as I tend to just lean over and take a sip whilst I'm still typing.
Where would I be without my glasses? I used to hate wearing glasses, but I'm slowing getting used to wearing them out and about more rather than only in my apartment. These are Prada frames from Vision Express. They were a little pricey but thankfully my student loan helped to cover it, and they were the sturdiest ones that I liked - great if you fall asleep with glasses on...
I got bored of the standard strap that came with my camera and decided that I wanted to 'snazzy' things up a bit. This is a sort of aztec print, woven strap that is really strong and can hold my bulking DSLR. The strap is shorted than my previous one but I prefer it that way as my old strap meant that my camera was hitting me in the top of the stomach. This one rests my camera just below my lady chest, which is preferable for me.
Have you been loving any non-beauty items recently?
