One way I combat this and look after my hair is with Avon's Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil Heat Infusion Treatment. It's a bit of a mouthful, so let's just call it Avon's Hot Oil Treatment.

This pack contains four single use treatments that are designed to nourish the hair. Much like other hair oils this stuff detangles, moisturises and cares for your hair.
I use these around once a week, sometimes once every two weeks. You place one of the treatments in a cup of hot water for a minute or so to let the oil heat up. Once thats done, apply it directly onto either wet or dry hair. I find that applying it to wet hair is easier.
When I'm using one of these treatments I like to sit back in the bath with a face mask on as well. I don't think that there's a set amount of time to leave the oil on your hair, in fact I'm pretty sure you could leave it on over night as an extra treatment. I tend to leave mine on for the same amount of time I have a face mask on - which can be anything from 5 minutes to 30 minutes.
When I wash it out my hair is left as light as a feather, yet so soft, silky and manageable. I feel like a new woman when I've had this stuff in my hair! (no joke)
I LOVE the Avon Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil range. I think I've tried just about every product and I can highly recommend them.
Have you tried any hot oil treatments?
