This post is part of a new series on my blog showcasing my favourite products in each category, before I reveal my favourite products of 2013 in late December/early January.
These are my favourite primers...
Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer | £6.99 buy here
I've been using repurchasing this primer for years as I think that it's really good and does as it says. It claims to do five things in one, which I honestly believe it achieves.
I have combination skin, with an oily t-zone and dry everywhere else, so I always look for a primer that mattifies as well as keeping my make up place.
One way to test this to the extreme is to wear a primer underneath make up when I go on a night out with my university friends. The heat alone inside the clubs should be enough to melt away make up, yet this primer ensures that my make up stays put.
This is an old favourite and one that I think I will continue to repurchase time and time again.
NYX Shine Killer | £12.50 buy here
This is another primer that claims to control oil and shine, and I do think that it does, however I wear it over makeup rather than underneath it as I think that it keeps the make up on longer. But thats just me.
I would repurchase this as I think that it does a really good job at mattifying. It has no smell and comes out as a clear gel too - great for wearing onto of make up. It also means that you can just apply it over make up during the day too as a little top up.
I've recently spoken about it here
The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser | £7.50 buy here
This has been on my wish list for ages now and I finally picked it up when I went shopping with my sister in Manchester (naughty me, I should have been Christmas shopping).
When I went into The Body Shop I was taken back by all the lovely products and I actually wanted a lot more than what I bought. I don't shop at The Body Shop (naughty blogger) so I was like a kid in a candy shop.
After looking at the Tea Tree Range, and having tested out this primer, I think I'll have to invest in some more products from the range as this is really lovely!
Again, this primer claims to mattify - which it does but not as much as the other primers. IT has a strong minty style smell but that soon goes as soon as the product is on your face. MY face always feels fresh and awake when this is on which is great for the mornings!
It keeps make up in place, but I haven't worn it under my night time look yet so I can't comment on it's lastingness. I'd repurchase this though.
What are your favourite primers? Have you tried any of these?
