I've never done an Empties post before as I've never been able to finish enough products around the same time. I hate having empty bottles and things lying around so I usually just throw them out (not to mention my boyfriend just gets rid of everything anyway)
But this month I noticed that a few things were coming to their end so I thought I'd do my best and keep hold of them until enough gather for a blog post - and here we are!
So what have I used up this month?
Batiste Dry Shampoo* | £2.99 buy here
This silly weather has had my fringe in all directions meaning that my fingers have been running through it to keep it in place. This has meant that my fringe has been getting greasy, and on those days when I've had an early start after a late night and haven't had time in the morning to wash my hair, I spray this through and I can get on with my day.
This isn't the best dry shampoo I've used (I much prefer the VO5 'Refresh Me Quick' one) but it is the one that I seem to be able to get ahold of easier and is therefore the one that I use the most.
Would I repurchase this? Yes.
Moroccan Oil Moisture Repair* Shampoo and Conditioner | £33.80 buy here
I received these two at an event back in summer and I didn't really think much of them. That was until winter hit and the harsh wind and the cold dryer up my hair. I was rummaging around my 'to try' drawers in the separate hope that I would find something to save my locks when I came across these and almost jumped to the ceiling with excitement.
Since finding them again and trying (and finishing) the two 70ml bottles I have noticed a HUGE difference in my hair. I don't think I can go through winter without them anymore.
In fact, when I was waiting for some more to turn up after I finished these two, I noticed my hair became dry and brittle again.
If you want gorgeous, silky soft locks that are full of life then get these. They are my winter hair care essentials right now.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I've already bought more sample sizes as I can't afford the full sizes until after Christmas.
Soap & Glory Pulp Friction | £8 buy here
I was a little bit disappointed in this body scrub as most other Soap & Glory skin care I have really liked. Normally I wouldn't use a body scrub, instead i'd use a loofa(?) or an exfoliating glove, but during winter my bathroom gets COLD and you do not want to get out of that shower into a cold room so I've been trying to stay in the shower longer, and have therefore been using too many products to wash myself (just me?).
I don't think that this did anything for my skin. All it did was leave tiny beads on the shower floor, so if anything my feet were being exfoliated rather than the rest of my body.
Would I repurchase? No.
Bourjois 1 Second Nail Varnish Remover | £4.99 buy here
Now now Bourjois lets not lie, it doesn't take one second to remove nail varnish. This product has so many good and bad points year I can't stop liking it.
Basically you stick your finger inside and (I usually press against the sides) twist around then pull your finger out nail varnish free. It doesn't always work the first time as it depends how much varnish you have on, but it does make it quicker and cleaner.
The varnish remover is scented, and it's moisturising - a downside is that you do tend to get the varnish remover halfway down your finger too.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.
Clinique Liquid Facial Soap | £15.50 buy here
This has been an essential part of my skin care routine for some years now and I always seem to go back to it. It cleanses my face really well and doesn't leave a horrible smell behind, nor does it leave my skin really dry.
I'm currently using a similar product by REN so I'll see how it compares..
Would I repurchase? Yes.
Benefit They're Real! Mascara | £19.50 buy here
I didn't like this when I first bought it as it was really 'wet' and meant that I ended up smudging it more. I left it for a few weeks before deciding to give it another go, and I'm glad that I did. The formula was much less wet and it applied like a dream.
I do occasionally stab myself in the eye with the sharp and hard bristle on the wand but the pros defiantly outweigh the cons.
Lashes look so much longer and darker - almost as if you're wearing false lashes.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
Garnier Moisture Match | £5.99 buy here
I use this as a primer under my make up, or when I'm having make up free days then I'll just wear this on its own. It keeps my face well moisturised both in the summer and winter which is always a good thing.
I do like this product, but I feel that it's just a moisturiser, and when I wear it under make up, my make up tends to come off quicker.
If it was on offer all the time, then I think I'd purchase it more.
Would I repurchase? Maybe.
So there's my November Empties post! I can finally get rid of these empty products and get to work finishing some more ;)
