I was kindly invited to the Northern Mid Summer Event hosted by My Bag, Look Fantastic and All Sole. On Thursday I headed into Manchester to the Walrus Canteen and Lounge with some fellow bloggers, checked our names on the guest list and headed downstairs.
I didn't really know what to expect from this event as I had only received the one email detailing the time and venue of the event, whereas others seemed to have a better understanding than me as they received multiple emails.

When we got there we collected a complimentary glass of wine and took a wonder around the room. There were items on display from various different brands, as well as stalls such as Benefit, Burt's Bees, Nails Inc, Moroccan Oil and Evo.

There were so many shoes and bags on display (girls heaven!) as well as cupcakes and cake pops too.
I got a chance to catch up with some other fellow bloggers that I'd met before, as well as meeting some new girls too.

Benefit gave me a mini make over using the Benetint as I'd always wanted to know how to use it properly. We also got to try out the new blush Rocketur which is now on my wish list!
Burt's Bees gave us a brief introduction to there most popular products as well as introducing me to a new scheme that they are doing (more on that to come).
Nails Inc were giving out mini mani's using their new A/W collection (which isn't even out yet!) including their new Gel collection. I got a 'Gel mani' in Porchester Square which is a gorgeous mushroom-grey-neautral colour, great for everyday.
Moroccan Oil were giving us tips and advice on hair which was really good, as well as recommending which products would work best. I've never used Moroccan oil before so this was a great introduction to the brand. We also received some shampoo and conditioner from then (as well as their famous oil in our goodie bag).

As well as the stalls there were also talks and demonstrations where each brand were showing off their products to their fullest. L'Oreal were demonstrating their new steam straighteners which are less damaging to the hair than normal straighteners. Benefit were demonstrating how to contour and just before I left Moroccan oil were demonstrating how to get gorgeous hair.
Sadly I couldn't stay to watch all the demos as I had to get the last train home but I feel very privileged to have been invited to such a great event.

Reviews of the products that I received in the goodie bag will follow :)
