August Favourites

August is at an end which also means the end of summer (for the UK). I don't mind the end of summer as it means getting to go back to university, seeing my little boy dress up in his school uniform and wave goodbye to me at the school gates, wooly jumpers and leather boots can come out and I can again wear my favourite dark lipsticks.

Summer is usually a busy time of the year, and this year was no different. I have been to so many events this season and met some incredible people. with that being said I've been trying a lot more products than I used to (mainly because I've received them in goodie bags or fellow bloggers have recommended them to me). I love trying new things and I'm always grateful for the opportunity.

I'm currently looking forward to Christmas (it's never too early right?) as I love buying gift sets for myself and just the general Christmas cheer. It's also the first Christmas that Mike, William and myself will be spending in our flat too! :)

The first product Ive been loving this month is the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect exfoliator*. I won this in a competition and I was soooo glad that I did as it looked wonderful! I've been using it every week since I got it and I'm very impressed with it. I'll have to write up a full review of it soon as it's just too good not to share! | buy here

The Macadamia No Tangle brush* is a world ahead of the Tangle Teezers. I received this in my goodie bag from the Mid Summer Meet and I've loved using it on my tangled hair. It just glides through and doesn't pull or snag, as well as having a handle on which makes it so much more comfortable to use. I thought I couldn't love another brush like I did with my Tangle Teezer but this beats it. The bristles are slightly longer than the TT which I think makes it snag less than the Tangle Teezer. It's also safe to use on wet hair and on children! | buy here

After getting a mini mani courtesy of the Nails Inc girls at the Mid Summer Meet I've been obsessed with nude coloured nails. They're safe to wear in work and it means they go with every outfit. The nail varnish that the girls used on me isn't out yet so I searched in Boots for it's dupe. The Rimmel Salon Pro in 'Soul Session' is just about it's dupe but at half the price. It's long lasting, doesn't chip, dries fairly quickly and has a nice flat brush making application super quick. (I'm wearing it in the picture above) | buy here

Believe it or not but I've had this 50ml bottle of Paco Rabanne Lady Million since two Christmas' ago (!) and it's only just running out now. I always try to make my perfumes last as long as possible but whenever they're on their last leg I seem to use them every day. I don't know why I do it like this, but I do.
This month I've been wearing nothing but this. I'm not going to describe what it smells like, but I will say that it smells amazinggggg. I've been hinting at my boyfriend to buy me another bottle for Christmas. | buy here

At the moment I'm loving the Rimmel Scandaleyes range, and this mascara is no different. The wand is really big (so it can get messy if you have short eyelashes like mine) but the result is that of the Benefit They're Real mascara. Eyelashes are spread out and long, without clumping or flaking. The formula isn't waterproof (they do a waterproof version though) but it's managed to withstand the heat that we've had in August without dripping down my face, so thats a good sign to me. I only use it on my top lashes as the wand is too big for me to use on my bottom lashes without making a mess, but I have the Clinique Bottom Lash mascara for that so it's no worry to me. | buy here
