Gatineau Melatogenine Set: REVIEW

Gatineau Melatogenine Anti-aging Set* £60 (buy here)
As a twenty one year old you'd think that I'm not concerned about fine lines and wrinkles yet, but you'd be wrong. My skin is at that age where any wrong movement in my face and there will be a fine line to capture the moment. Sort of like when you were younger and would pull a funny face, and your mum would tell you not to incase the wind blew and you were stuck like that forever.
Well the wind has blown and fine lines are upon me. They're not really noticeable unless you stare at my forehead and try to find them, but when I wear a lot of make up it can sometimes fall into the lines and enhance them. The same goes for under my eyes and around my mouth.
I've used a few anti-aging products before by both high end brands and high street brands. While I have liked using them, I never thought they were doing a good enough job.
Gatineau is a brand that has been around for years, and a brand that has always been known to me, but one I had never used. I remember when I was younger, my mum had a bottle of Gatineau in her vanity case, and I remember it smelling so nice! I can say that that hasn't changed, and Gatineau products still smell nice today.
This set includes 3 products from the Melatogenine AOX Probiotics skincare range, which are designed to significantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They come inside this gorgeous little make up case which is fully padded and has a faux leather exterior.
Melatogenine Refreshing Cleansing Cream 250ml
This cleansing cream has a pearly white look to it which is described as 'pearly and luxurious'. I have to agree on the latter statement as I do find it very luxurious and I feel a million dollars when using it. Not only does this product tone, but it moisturises, exfoliates and removes make up all in one step! I've been using it every morning and evening, and can honestly say that my face has never felt softer.
Melatogenine Futur Plus Anti Wrinkle Radiance Mask 75ml
Although this mask is designed for mature skin, having used it on my own face for the past few weeks, my face really does feel firmer and more alive. I feel fresh and ready to go after this little miracle worker! It comes out as a cream, which you apply liberally to the face (avoiding the eyes - you don't want to get this bad boy in your eyes, ouch), leave it on for ten minutes, and wash off with warm water. As it is a cream, it means that your face is also left moisturised and isn't dried out like when you use other face masks (mainly clay masks for me). If you want a more intensive treatment you can apply it like a night cream and leave it on over night.
Melatogenine AOX Probiotics Youth Activating Beauty Serum 30ml
This is a new product to the range and the one I think smells the nicest. It is quite a thin milky cream that blends in super fast. Not only does it target fine lines and wrinkles, but it also protects the skin from environmental stress and boosts the skins natural radiance. I use this after the Cleansing Cream, and seriously, it's the best combination of skin care I've ever used.
Even if you think that fine lines and wrinkles are for those in their thirties, it's worth purchasing this set. Or why not buy it for a mother or grand mother? Out of the three products, my favourite is the mask as I love masks at the moment. I've become a little obsessed with them, and I can see this mask safely staying in my top five favourite face masks of all time.
What do you think of these products? Do you worry about fine lines and wrinkles?
