REVIEW: Daniel Sandler Contour Kit

Daniel Sandler Sculpt and Slim-Effect Contour Face Powder

I've been looking for a good contouring kit for what feels like a lifetime. When my friend suggested that I check out Daniel Sandler (she has a few products by them and says they're really really good) I thought, Why not?
I bought this before Lent but I only received it a few days ago as I've moved out (it was delivered to my old address, not my new one) - so I'm not really cheating on my spending ban :)

I'd say that I have medium toned skin, and this contour kit is the perfect match for me. It comes in a sophisticated looking plastic case, in matte gold with a black boarder, with Daniel Sandler in nice bold writing in the middle.
Opening it up and you see the pressed powder and a handy little mirror. The highlighter is on the left (embossed with a 'D') and the contour shade is on the right (embossed with a 'S').
The highlighter has a slight shimmer to it, whereas the contour has a matte finish. I thought that the shimmer would annoy me as I'm not a huge fan of having a sparkling face, yet it works fine for me as it's not to in-your-face shimmer.
I apply the contour shade using my realTechniques stippling brush as I find it blends better - there's nothing worse than contour gone wrong and looking like you have a five o'clock shave!
I apply the highlighter using a small angled blush brush by Barbra Daly.

This kit retails at £24.50 and is available here
